I missed Armistice day this year, so this is a bit late. Many of us had Grandfathers that fought in WWII, some of us served during difficult times, This is for all who wore a uniform and for those that paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Who am I

If I know where I have been, I have a better idea of where to go. Everything that has happened, both good and bad and everything in between makes us who we are, for better or worse, Its about acceptance, accepting who we are helps us to accept others - just a thought.

This is mine - it has different meanings for me, I fight depression on a daily basis. I also have a very special daughter (She is my step-daughter and I love her as my own) She is a Special needs child, who is almost 19, and has Williams Syndrome. I have heard people refer to "her problem" I don't believe she has a problem. She is who she was made to be and everywhere she goes, she takes light with her. 

I have seen her bring joy into peoples live's just because she loves people, loves talking to people and has no preconceived notions or judgments, A young girl who just loves being with and among people, the joy and happiness she spreads to people she comes in contact with, is a gift that not many people have.

To you sweetheart, you are a light in a world that often forgets what it is to just accept others, enjoy their company and love.

The mountains are an amazing place to spend time, the sheer enormity against one's 'smallness' really helps to put everything into perspective. Its a place of reflection, a place to gather one's self and a place to talk to God.

I don't visit as much as i used to, I need to change that. 

Untouchable

When realization bites home and you know there is nothing more that can 

be done. When I look back I am still amazed at how quickly time passes

This was a dark place to be, realizing some hard truths and still trying to hold on. The hands were starting to slip already,  just the fall left. Looking back I realized it's like trying to find your way in the dark with a blindfold

It all started way back in 1999, trying to understand what was happening, I started writing things down. They are unsophisticated a bit raw and emotive, this was the first. and they are what they are.

These are my memories of the future, which are the ideas of an ordinary man.
